Make sure to prepare yourself to record a 25-minute presentation with our team.

List of recommendations

  • Lighting: Ensure your face is well-lit, preferably with natural light facing you, or use a ring light to avoid shadows and enhance visibility.

  • Camera Position: Position the camera at eye level to help maintain a natural, direct line of sight with the audience. If using a laptop, you might need to stack it on some books to raise the camera to eye level.

  • Background: Choose a clean, uncluttered background. If possible, use a neutral wall or a tidy space that doesn’t distract from the conversation. Consider using a virtual background if the real one is not suitable.

  • Sound Quality: Use a good quality microphone if available. This could be an external USB microphone or a headset. Avoid relying on the computer’s built-in microphone if possible, as it can pick up a lot of ambient noise.

  • Internet Connection: Ensure a stable and strong internet connection. Wired connections (Ethernet) are more reliable than wireless ones (Wi-Fi) for video calls and recordings.

  • Close Unnecessary Applications: Before starting, close any unnecessary applications on your computer to ensure maximum processing power for your recording application and to minimize interruptions.

  • Dress Appropriately: Wear solid colors as they show up better on camera and avoid complex patterns that can create visual noise in the video. Also, avoid jewelry that could make noise.

  • Framing: Frame yourself so that you fill most of the screen; typically from the chest up is ideal. This helps maintain a connection with your audience as if you’re in the same room.

  • Eye Contact: Look directly at the camera lens when speaking. This mimics eye contact with the viewer and helps create a more personal and engaging interaction.

  • Prepare Your Materials: If you need to refer to notes, try to have them close to the camera to keep your eye movements minimal and maintain 'eye contact' with the audience.

  • Test Everything: Before the actual recording, do a test recording to check the video and audio quality, and adjust any settings if necessary.

  • Stay Hydrated: Keep a glass of water nearby and take sips as needed, especially before you start, to avoid a dry throat while speaking. Also, keep a box of tissues nearby as some people tend to sneeze or have a runny nose when under recording stress.

  • Relax and Smile: Finally, take a deep breath, relax your shoulders, smile, and maintain an engaging posture to convey friendliness and confidence.

    These recommendations can help you appear more professional and ensure the recording goes as smoothly as possible.

Please use the website www.wetransfer.com to upload your talk. You can send it to yourself and share with us only the URL.

Speaker Agreement

Please read the Speaker Agreement before uploading your talk. By clicking the submit button, you agree to all the terms and conditions of the agreement.

Save Our Events Google Calendar

The event date will be announced once we have confirmed enough speakers. You will receive the promotional material three months prior to the event. In the meantime, you can access the Insightful Events Google Calendar, where we will share dates for virtual and live events, masterclasses, and special trainings as they are scheduled.

In the past, we announced a date in advance and had to postpone the event twice due to difficulties in securing all the speaker presentations. Therefore, we now request the presentations first and set the date afterwards.
